Names' Derek Lee, and here's all the dirt about me

Introduction

I was born in Singapore on 26 August 1978, which makes me hit the B-I-G 2 0 this year :(. My star sign happens to be Virgo, which I don't really know if it is a good or bad, considering the kind of comments a male would get about it.

Kiddy Life

Hmmm.... I suppose my early childhood, can be considered to be one of much fun and lauughter. I went to a kindergarten from about age 3 or something, and it was really fun. We had some classes, which was supposed to be an introduction to REAL education. Naturally, the work was simple, and the breaks were numerous..... Not too bad to start school, I stupidly believed.

ARGHHH School Starts !!

Ok, ok, so I was BIG time wrong !!! The work just keeps piling up. And guess what, I was in an all guys school !! YUCKS !!! Admist my school days, I enjoyed the privilege of travelling around with my parents to place which I seem to have no impression of, yet my photo appears beside those familiar landmarks. After six years, I completed what was know as primary education in Singapore.

I'm in High School ???

The shock of getting into High School or Secondary school as we call it, wasn't as bad as everyone made it sound. I was pretty happy there and ended up going nuts about computers, photography, ansd effectively anything but study. I even ended up in the Cadet Corps, and had to march in the National Day Parade, wchih turned out pretty fun.

RUDE shock here !!! My parents "shipped" me off to Melbourne to do my foundation studies. I did the equivlent of the HSC Year 12, with the Monash Uni Foundation Program. I really loved Melbourne, with all the shopping and the good food, but best of all was the FREEDOM !!! NO parents !!! NO one to bother with me !!! Oh well, that was it. I ended up partying daily and effectively lost track of what was going on around me.

Woo Hooo !!!! I'm in University !!!

HA, proved everyone wrong again !! I actually managed to get into Sydney University. I'm now in my third year doing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with the Economics Faculty I have not been involved in every society that exists but I suppose I have a fair involvement in bits of everything. Really can't say much about uni, cos I suppose I don't know what else to say.......

The Future . . . . .

After I graduate, I have to go back to Singapore to serve my National Service, whcih is sorta Army service for all Singaporean guys. This is going to last two and a half years, after which I have no idea what to do. Looking on the bright side, I still have ages to think about it.
